Efficacy of bio and synthetic pesticides against Thrips Scirtothrips dorsalis (Hood) and Leaf miner Liriomyza spp. on Peas, Pisum Sativum (L.)

The experiment was conducted at Main Agricultural Research Station, Dharwad in two kharif season during 2014-15 and 2015-16. The results showed that Acetamiprid 20 SP (1g/l) was found most effective against thrips with highest per cent protection of 88.43 followed by Fipronil 5 SL (1ml/l) with the per cent protection of 85.54 over untreated ckeck. Among the biopesticides NSKE 5% was found to be best with the per cent protection of 68.18 per cent. Against leaf miner the most effective chemicals were found to be Acetamiprid 20 SP @ 1g/l and Imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.3 ml/l with per cent protection of 89.83 and 89.24 per cent over untreated ckeck. The NSKE 5% was found to be superior with the per cent protection of 81.40% among the biopesticides. The yield 31.24 q ha-1 was highest in Acetamiprid 20 SP @ 1g/l with the B:C Ratio of 1: 3.45.
