Changes of sinus heart rate turbulence in myocardial infarction patients

Objective:To observe the changes of sinus heart rate turbulence (HRT) between acute myocardial infarction (AMI) stages and old myocardial infarction(OMI) steges of the same patients with MI.Method:HRT onset (TO) and slope (TS) were calculated from Holter records in 27 patients during the period of AMI ([3.8±0.3]days) and OMI ([84.1±3.0]days). Result:There were obviously changes of TO(from[0.17±0.12]% to -[1.45±0.45]%, P0.01) and TS(from [1.70±0.56]ms/RR to [8.87±1.91]ms/RR,P0.01) between AMI period and OMI period. Conclusion:HRT is abnormal in AMI period, but it may be normal during OMI period.
