Observational study of bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets in prevention and cure diarrhea complication in pediatric pneumonia cases

Objective: To explore the effect of Bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets(Live) in prevention and cure diarrhea complication in pneumonia children.Methods:Totally 146 inpatients with pediatric pneumonia were divided randomly into 86 in experimental group and 60 in contrast group.the experimental group were treated with Bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets(Live).Other treatments including using antibiotics were not different.The subsequent diarrhea occurrence rate and efficacy were compared between the two groups.Results:Altogether 17 cases of the experimental group occurred diarrhea,with the incidence of l9.8 %;28 cases of the contrast group occurred diarrhea,with the incidence of 46.7 %.There showed statistical significant differences between the two groups(χ2= 11.99,P 0.01).The diarrhea control showed significant difference too(χ2=21.93,P0.01).Conclusion: Bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets(Live) can efficiently prevention and cure diarrhea complication in pediatric pneumonia.
