Individual composition of mercaptans and disulphides of Urals-Volga crude oils

1989
Tim mercaptans in crude oil make its processing considerably more difficult, have an adverse effect on the service properties of the petroleum products obtained, and create additional ecological problems. In recent years there has been an increase in the production of mercaptan-containing crude oils and gas condensates possessing a unique composition of hydrocarbons and organosulphur compounds. Study of these products has been very inadequate. The present authors used mass spectrometry Of the negative ions of resonance electron capture (MS NI REC) to study the individual composition of mercaptans and disulphides of Urals-Volga crude oils, and they were compared with crude oils of the Pre-Caspian Depression.
