A driving mechanism with single motor and two wheels in one side for 100% low-floor light railway vehicle independent wheel is characterized in that: two ends of the motor are respectively connected to a gear transmission mechanism to form two driving units, two driving units are symmetrically arranged on two sides of a bogie taking the vertical center as the symmetrical center, two gear transmission mechanisms are respectively connected to a front wheel and a rear wheel in the same side of the bogie, thus all the wheels can maintain the same moving direction when two output shafts on the two ends of the motor output at the same time. Two gear transmission mechanisms are respectively connected to a front wheel and a rear wheel in the same side of the bogie, and thus the synchronous operation of four wheels and safety guiding problem of independent wheel bogie structure is achieved. Two ends of the motor are connected to a gear transmission mechanism to form two driving units, thus two sets of gear boxes are driven by one motor, and the work efficiency is improved. Furthermore, the two driving unit are symmetrically arranged on two sides of the bogie taking the vertical center as the symmetrical center, and convenience is provided to maintenance and operation.
