mobility (35%×21%). In those submitted to pallidotomy, there was improvement in mobility (66%×42%) and daily life activities (66%×48%), but worsening in communication was noted (30%×33%). In those patients submitted to STN-DBS, there was improvement in daily life activities (57%×31%), emotional wellbeing (44%×29%), bodily discomfort (48%×33%) and mobility (55%×42%). Discussion: Both types of surgery were able to improve patient’s QOL postoperative. STN-DBS led to more significant positive changes regarding postoperative QOL.
