Putting LEADS to Work in Canada and Abroad

How leadership is understood and practised and how LEADS is put to work depends on context. To understand how LEADS is used and its potential for further growth in Canada, we decided to examine both its evolution in the Canadian context and in four countries with which Canada shares a similar Westminster system of government: Australia, England, Scotland and New Zealand. Our comparator countries also have universal health care, but how it’s administered differs in each one, resulting in different approaches to adopting and using health leadership frameworks. This analysis offers lessons for Canada and comparator countries.
