Content determination of dobutamine hydrochloride in Dextrose Injection by HPLC

2009
Objective: To establish a method for the content determination of dobutamine hydrochloride in Dextrose Injec tion by HPLC. Methods: The Waters-Symmetry ODS C18 (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm) column was used. The mobile phases consisted of acetonitride and phosphoric acid [adjust the pH value to pH=2.4], gradient elution, the flow rate was 1.0 ml/min and the detection wavelength was at 284 nm. Results: The linear ranges of Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride was at 1.86-9.34 μg (r=0.999 9), the average recovery was 99.90% with a RSD of 0.11% (n=6). Conclusion: The method is fast, reliable, accurate and can be used in the quality control of dobutamine hydrochloride in Dextrose Injection.
