Progress of the application of ionic liquid in stationary phase of gas chromatography

The studies of ionic liquid as gas chromatography stationary phase had attracted much attention by increasingly more chromatography researchers.This was largely due to the fact that their physicochemical properties could met the requirements of gas chromatography stationary phase.In this paper,the progress of ionic liquid in gas chromatography stationary phase was reviewed,including the primary organic molten salt;the later ionic liquid with special properties;the polymeric ionic liquid,the ionic liquid containing dication,the mixed ionic liquid and chiral ionic liquid.The application of ionic liquid in comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography was briefly introduced.Finally,the development foreground was also prospected.
