TESTING AND MODEL VERIFICATION OF THE MAYSVILLE KENTUCKY BRIDGE STAY CABLES

2002
Cable-stayed bridges combine unique aesthetics with competitive costs to produce landmarks and signature skylines and have emerged as the modem design for intermediate- and long-span bridges. In this paper, a novel approach is applied for automating the data analysis to determine fundamental frequencies of the stay cables of the Maysville, Kentucky cable-stayed bridge. A sequence of one-day field tests of the cables was conducted to examine consistencies and differences. In this paper, the automated analysis approach is presented, along with results.
