Basic Research Applied to Ureteral Anomalies

Kidney anomalies are frequent and the study of kidney development is very important to understand several pathologies. The objective of this chapter is to analyze the development and the structure of the kidney in human fetuses. We studied with dissection and histologic techniques normal human fetuses without anomalies of the genitourinary tract and showed important aspects of the kidney and renal pelvis development applied to renal anomalies.
