The patterns of care of follicular lymphoma: First-line treatment in academic and community practice setting.

e19515 Background: Follicular Lymphoma remains an incurable B-cell lymphoproliferative disorder with many treatment options, rituximab being the single most common therapy. Methods: In order to establish current patterns of care for this disease, to ascertain differences in age, treatment setting(academic vs community) and time frame, data was collected over a 2 year period from the eviti web based decision support platform database of first line treatment plans submitted for commercial insurance pre-authorization. Results: This review consists of 152 consecutive patients with 79 males. Ages ranged from 30-86 with a median of 60. The most common plan submitted was single agent (SA) rituximab accounting for 79 (59%) of the total. Rituximab/bendamustine totaled 31 (21%) and R/CHOP like regimens 36 (23%) (R/CVP 11 and R/CHO P 25). There was no difference in age for the various regimens with the median age for SA rituximab of 60, R-bendamustine, 62, R/CVP 57 and R/CHOP 58. Academic submissions for SA rituxima...
