Theatre in Kosovo: The challenges in the new state

ABSTRACTThis article by the current Artistic Director of the National Theatre of Kosovo in Pristina follows a brief history of Albanian drama in Kosovo with commentary on the Dodona Theatre's resistance to Milosevic in the 1990s and the subsequent struggle towards an autonomous theatre in Kosovo, with particular regard to the National Theatre.
