Inserção e atuação profissional de egressos de enfermagem dos campi do interior em uma Universidade Estadual do Norte do Brasil

Objective: evaluate the socioeconomic profile and the characteristics of insertion and performance in the job market of the graduates of the nursing course from the State University of Para (UEPA) of the campuses in the countryside of the state. Methods: cross-sectional study, descriptive, quantitative approach, conducted with 118 graduates. Results: the participants were characterized by being predominantly youngs, female sex, single and without children, from different counties of Para, variation also observed in their workplaces, being checked a strongly tendency return to their home towns after graduates. Of the total of participants, 83,1% were practicing a profession, inserting themselves in job market with up six months after the training (66,7%), 74,0% worked in public sector, mainly in hospital areas (36,0%), primary health care (32, 4%), teaching (17,6%) and management (8,8%) and with monthly income proportionately greater than the rate average Brazilian Nursing. Conclusions: the findings hads enabled to know the social and professional’s realities, and the relations with job market of graduates of the nursing course of UEPA on the campuses of countryside, emphasizing the coverage that nursing courses of the institution have on state the countryside. Thus, we searched to contribute to the present context of discussion of the new guidelines of the undergraduate of the nursing training on the country, mainly in the field of public policies that promote the access to higher education of quality and free on regions with the greatest needs on the country.
