Superconductivity by Nb intercalation in the layered topological insulator Bi2Se3

We report synthesis and characterization of Nb intercalated Bi2Se3 superconductor. The transport measurements show the onset of superconducting transition at 3.5 K and resistivity drops down to zero at 3 K. The magnetization measurement indicates the diamagnetic transition at 3.5 K. The upper critical field (Hc2), lower critical field (Hc1), Ginzburg Landau coherence length (ξ) and penetration depth (λ) are estimated to be 0.92T, 0.0015T, 188.7 nm and 468.5 nm respectively.We report synthesis and characterization of Nb intercalated Bi2Se3 superconductor.
