Modern PID Controller for Stable Systems
2016
Due to advances in control configurations, classical PID controllers are replaced with modern PID controllers to yield satisfactory performance. It is very essential to design a modern PID controller to achieve optimal control with dead time compensation, reduced overshoot, reduced settling time and non-oscillatory output. The controller attempts to minimize the error over time by adjustment of a control variable, such as the position of a control valve, a damper, the power supplied to a heating element or temperature control systems. An attempt is taken to design a modern PID controller for stable systems that would produce optimal output with reduced dead time and the safety of the system is ensured.
