An Early Postpartum Hospital Discharge Program Implementation and Evaluation

An early postpartum hospital discharge program for post-delivery mothers and infants is described in three phases: antepartum planning, postpartum instruction, and home follow-up. Review of statistics after two years showed few complications, and evaluation of the program by means of a questionnaire showed consumer satisfaction.
