NEW RECORD OF RAJA BRACHYURA FROM THE LIGURIAN SEA NUOVA SEGNALAZIONE DI RAJA BRACHYURA IN MAR LIGURE

New record of blonde rays (Raja brachyura) in the Ligurian Sea for over 140 years is described. Two specimens were caught by trammel net in shallow waters off Cogoleto in May 2005. Mor- phometric and meristic features have been reported and possible relationship with a specific substrate have been suggested.
