2020
The knowledge of urban vegetation can generate information that aims to assist in advising public administrations, producing subsidies for planning and management of urban forests. Therefore, the objective was to evaluate the structure and dynamics of the urban forest in the ZC and ZRC of Imperatriz - MA. All individuals with height ≥ 1,5m were measured. Phytosociology, horizontal structure, income and mortality were analyzed. There were 2545 individuals of 78 species in 30 botanical families, 71,79% of which were exotic species, and 28,21% of native species. Licania tomentosa and Azadirachta indica together account for more than half of the population abundance (63,57%) and had the highest IVI, 31,15% and 14,40%, respectively. In the IPE, only A. indica and L. tomentosa achieved good performance. The mortality rate corresponded to 22,91%, and L. tomentosa had the highest rate (37,59%). The entrance was 32,52%, A. indica stood out with 28.34%. The urban forest of Imperatriz – MA doesn't have adequate technical planning. Mostly composed of exotic and unsuitable species for planting in urban areas.
