Investigation and analysis of the current situation of medical and nursing for the aged in Lishui

Objective To investigate the current situation of medical care for the aged in Lishui city, and to explore a suitable medical and nursing way for the aged in Lishui. Methods The pension structure of Liandu District, Longquan City and Qingtian County in Lishui was understood by on-the-spot visit, questionnaire survey and data statistics. Results In this paper, the actual situation of medical and nursing for the aged in Lishui wasinvestigated. Through investigation and analysis, a new model to meet the needs of society is explored for the development of ″medical and nursing for the aged″ in Lishui. Conclusions Lishui should take the government level as the breakthrough point, unite the social personages and the old people′s children to build the old-age institution of the combination mode of medical care and support.
