Quantitative photoacoustic tomography assisted by diffuse optical tomography: A simulation study

We present a new method that can enhance quantitative recovery of optical absorption coefficient in heterogeneous media from photoacoustic data by considering inhomogeneous scattering coefficient distribution provided by diffuse optical tomography.
