The establishment and confirmation of sinus node and atrio-ventricular node ischemia-reperfusion in rabbit model

2004
Objective: To establish and confirm the sino-atrial node (SAN) and atrio-ventricular node (AVN) Ischemia and Ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) in rabbit modei. Methods: 10 rabbits were permeated by emulsion. The right coronary artery and its branches were observed. I/R models were established by means of occluding or loosening the root of right coronary artery of 12 rabbits. Their heart rhythms were analyzed according to the result of electrocardiogram. SAN and AVN were observed under the microscope and electronic microscope. Results: The right coronary artery branched away from the root of aorta. There were 8 cases with typical right coronary preponderant in 10 cases. The distance between the first branch of right coronary and the root of aorta was about 1.9±+0.3 mm. In experimental rabbits, sinus and atria arrhythmia were found in 8 cases. Atrio-ventricular block was found in 10 cases. The disorder of all rabbits' rhythm aggravated in the former of the reperfusion period and recovered in the latter of the reperfusion period gradually. Observed under the microscope and electronic microscope, the borderline of P celis was illegible. Cell nucleus was dyed into fuscous and chromatin was broken or disappeared. Conclusions: Opening up the thorax in the middle of breastbone, ligating the root of the right coronary artery and consulting the ECG should be combined for I/R modei of SAN and AVN.
