Studies on Technology of Transformation Hardening On Laser Surface of Ring-gear

In this paper, the hardening technology on laser surf ac e of ring-gears was studied and the three key techniques was proposed by using t he techniques. An uniform hardened case along the flank of ring-gears was obtain ed. The test results shown that the deformation of ring-gears was small. Microst rueture of laser hardened ring-gear was analysed with SEM and TEM. The results s hown that the laser hardened case was divided into three parts according the mic rostructure characteristic.
