A method for automatically adjusting a camera and an electronic device. The method is applied to an electronic device having a rotatable camera. By acquiring a parameter of a preview image in a lens of a camera, the electronic device determines a parameter of the camera to be rotated according to the parameter of the preview image, and adjusts an orientation of the camera according to the parameter of the camera to be rotated. By adjusting a camera, the quality of a shot image can be improved.
