Tolerance is not evident in opiate-dependent chick fetuses unless they are first treated with a dose of naloxone (Nx) which doesn't block the acute depressant action of 1-α-noracetylmethadol (NLAAM) in controls nor increase motility in dependent subjects (withdrawal abstinence).
