The present status and scientific expectation of the Ocean Color and Temperature Scanner

The present status and scientific expectation of the Ocean Color and Temperature Scanner(OCTS) is outlined. The OCTS is an optical radiometer devoted to the frequent globalmeasurement of ocean color and sea sea surface temperature with IFOV of —700m and swath of1400km. The main scientific objectives of OCTS is briefly presented, describing the modelatmosphere-ocean system that is used for deriving the level 2 standard products.
