The Integration of Input and Output of Teaching Listening and Speaking in College English

The ‘input hypothesis’ of Krashen considers that understandable input is a necessary condition of learning language,while the 'output hypothesis' of Swain considers that understandable output is more important.Actually,courses of listening and speaking of college English is integrative courses combined listening and speaking inseparably,and intercommunicative courses combined listening and speaking circularly.In actual teaching,we should integrate input and output organically and pay attention to building the resources of language input at the same time of strengthen the practices of language output,so as to improve students' ability of English listening and speaking of more effectively.
