A study of the effect of IDTs and input signals on the amplitude of propagation waves of the passive SAW structure

2017
This paper deals with the influence of IDT (interdigitated transducer) structure and input signal on responses of passive wireless sensor SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave). We used simulation software based on finite element method (FEM) with YZ-LiNbO3 piezoelectric substation has 80 μm thickness, 3 reflectors, material of the reflecting bar is Al and the structure of IDT is SPUDT (single-phase unidirectional transducers). Firstly, the number of aluminum bars in the reflective grating are 4. The results show the amplitude of the reflected wave is greatest with the IDT number of 50. When we increase the input signal, the amplitude of the response increasing. In addition, the amplitude of the reflected wave from the first reflector increase with increasing the number of bar in reflective grating.
