Pulsed Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy of Paraffin-Embedded Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma

Paraffin-embedded murine pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and healthy pancreas tissues were investigated using pulsed terahertz time-domain spectroscopy in transmission geometry. A deconvolution procedure was employed to obtain the tissue impulse response from the raw Terahertz signals. We report a well-resolved differences between the tumor and healthy pancreas along with an enhanced absorbance in tumor tissue compared to its healthy counterpart.
