Bovicola bovis ve Linognathus vituli ile Doğal Enfeste Danalarda Flupeks ® 'in (%1 Flumethrin) Etkisi

SUMMARY Calves suffered from itching were examined in a dairy cow breeding in Bursa province and lice (Bovicola bovis) and louse (Linognathus vituli) mix infestation was detected. On the purpose of to determine the efficacy of flumethrin 1% pour-on solution, ten of calves were treated with flumethrin and ten calves were kept as untreated control. Flumethrin 1% pour-on was used at a dose of 1 ml/10 kg body weight (1 mg active ingredient / kg b.w.) along the back line of each animal. The treatment of flumethrin 1% pour-on provided a complete protective period of five weeks for lice and louse control on calves. The efficacy has started completely on the third day almost on all treated animals. The calves treated with flumethrin did not show any adverse reaction. According to obtained results, the applications of flumethrin 1% pour-on are completely effective and usage of it at 5 week intervals can provide a good lice and louse control on calves.
