The Electrified Ports as Energy Hubs

The paper deals with the upgrade of ports from the electric energy point of view. Thus, ports being the key link in the transportation chain, are currently facing modern challenges in terms of providing innovative services of superior quality without adverse environmental and societal impact. Thus, it is explained how the ports can be transformed into energy hubs providing a variety of energy related services. The discussion is enriched via simulations performed in MATLAB.
