Equilibria of sorption of hydrogen and transition metal ions by silica chemically modified with iminodiacetic acid

1998
A study is made of sorption of H + , Mn 2+ , Co 2+ , Ni 2+ , Cu 2+ , and Zn 2+ ions by silica chemically modified with iminodiacetic acid. The compositions and stability constants of the products formed in reactions involving iminodiacetic acid are determined. The influence of the ionic strength of the aqueous solution on the equilibrium constants is elucidated.
