Reino do Ndongo: culturas e dinâmicas sociais múltiplas

EnglishThe growing appreciation of Africa's history, especially after the approval of the law 10,639/03, – that made mandatory the teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African history and culture in schools at all levels of basic education –, proposes new perspectives and approaches on the African continent and the historicity of the black people. In this sense, this paper seeks to analyse the political and social dynamics of the Kingdom of Ndongo, current country of Angola, as a way to disassemble prenotions and prejudices about the organization of these societies before the arrival of the portuguese in the early 16th century. portuguesA crescente valorizacao da historia da Africa, sobretudo apos a aprovacao da lei 10.639/03,—que tornou obrigatorio o ensino de historia e cultura afro-brasileira e africana nas escolas em todos os niveis da Educacao Basica—, propoe novos olhares e abordagens sobre o continente africano e a historicidade do povo negro. Nesse sentido, o presente artigo busca analisar as dinâmicas politicas e sociais do reino do Ndongo, atual pais de Angola, como forma de desmontar prenocoes e preconceitos em relacao a organizacao dessas sociedades antes da chegada dos portugueses em idos do seculo XVI
