A new method for measuring physical properties of liquid based on a droplet free vibration excited by SAW streaming

In this paper, we propose a new method for measuring liquid properties based on the free vibration of a droplet. The method involves a new technique for vibrating a small liquid droplet using surface acoustic wave (SAW). We investigate how a liquid droplet free vibration responds in vibration frequency and decay constant to the liquid surface tension, viscosity and contact angle.
