고려시대 다각다층 석탑의 기원에 관한 고찰

The argument of the academic world regarding the origin of the octagonal stone pagodas of the Koryo Dynasty is classified into 2 large sections; All octagonal stone pagodas of the Koryo Dynasty excluding the octagonal 9-storied stone pagoda of Woljeongsa are dispersed in the Pyeongyang district and that the towers of the Koguryo are all octagonal. Based on this, it is believed that the octagonal pagodas of Goryo have originated from the octagonal wood pagodas of Koguryo. In the similar period, octagonal pagodas appear in the Chinese 宋?遼?金, and it is thought that the trend of the octagonal pagoda in this period influenced Goryo.
