Three-dimensional Thermal Stator Model of a Fully Air-cooled Turbogenerator

In this paper, was considered the creation of the thermal model of a stator of a turbogenerator taking into account gas dynamics. A complete mathematical model includes various physical subsystems with multiphysical relationships. The work is based on accurate three-dimensional models using the modern proven COMSOL Multiphysics software, in which the finite element method is used for calculation. The main factors and the nominal operating mode, which influence the reliability and residual life of powerful turbogenerators with fully air cooling, are investigated.
