Effect of extractive from Agkistrodon acutus on serum TNF-.ALPHA.,IL-6 and IL-10 levels on rats with type II collagen-induced arthritis

2012
Objective: To study the extractive from Agkistrodon acutus on serum TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-10 levels on rats with type Ⅱcollagen-induced arthritis. Methods: After established CIA on Wistar rats successfully, they were randomly divised into CIA model group,high-dose AC treatment group,medium-dose AC treatment group,low-dose AC treatment group and PAT treatment group. The serum TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-10 levels were test by ELISA.Results: After CIA rats were treated with Agkistrodon acutu for three weeks, arthroncus, arthritic indexes and TNF-α was decreased,IL-10 was increased. Conclusion: Agkistrodon acutus could significantly decrease the swelling of joint and the arthritic indexes in CIA rats, and had positive relation to the dosage.Agkistrodon acutus also can sepressed the abnormal self-immunoreaction,it could down-regulated the level of TNF-α and up-regulated the level of IL-10,and alleviated the inflammation of synovial membrane sequentially.
