Supporting Early Math Learning with Digital Resources Roundtable Presentation at ISTE 2015, Philadelphia, PA
2015
This paper describes a five-week study of 59 low-income preschool children's engagement with a set of curated public media digital resources and their resulting math learning. Children learned to identify geometric shapes, and demonstrated significant improvements on a standard math measure. Parents reported positive impressions of the resources. The findings from this study were used to inform a large-scale home-based study in preschoolers' homes.
