This volume focuses on the results found in the study of interfaces and their properties. It looks at atomic-level modelling of interfaces, the structural and chemical characterization of internal interfaces, on their thermodynamic, kinetic, mechanical, electrical, magnetic behaviour and high-Tc superconductivity, and on the application of technologies to the design of polycrystalline materials having improved properties. Attention was paid to non-equilibrium segregation in irradiated materials.
