The Development Evaluation Well Drilling Mode Research of the Exploration and Development Integrated Technology in the Weixinan Sag

In order to improve the integration of offshore exploration and development integrated technology of the Weixinan Sag, Beibuwan Basin, the traditional relay drilling mode of "exploration well-appraisal well-development well-adjustment well" has a long evaluation time and a long production period. The economic threshold of development is high. Many proved and controlled geological reserves are difficult to use. The development evaluation well is introduced to promote the offshore exploration and development integrated technology. The drilling modes of development evaluation well are various, including development mode and exploration mode. Development model is based on the production platform to achieve rapid production and is divided into production platform drilling mode, development well project drilling or co-exploration mode, Exploration mode is aimed at evaluating the targets outside the scope of the production platform and is divided into rapid evaluation mode , rolling exploration well co-exploration mode. Four drilling models of development evaluation wells have been successfully applied in Weixinan Sag, 39 out of 47 development evaluation wells have been drilled successfully, the success rate is 83%. The development evaluation well drilling mode can prove the newly increased reserves and the difficult-to-produce reserves which have been used to effectively invigorate several oil fields and promote sustainable oil production and has important guiding significance for the study of mature exploration and development area.
