On the importance of the ratio between axial eye length and corneal curvature radius for intraocular lens prediction after cataract surgery. Further investigations, with the emphasis on low-ratio eyes

1997
Previous studies have indicated the importance of the ratio between axial length (AL) and corneal curvature radius (Crad) for the size of the intraocular lens calculation error in cataract series. Skew Al:Crad ratios being found, in particular, in very long and very short eyes, this anomalous finding may be (at least partly) responsible for the reduced prediction accuracy often reported in eyes that are either short or long.
