Characteristics of acid soils in Thailand: A review

1991
Thailand has at least 5.5 million hectares of acid soils. Much of this area is used for crop production with limited success. More efficient use of this land would have a large economic impact on the country. This paper discusses characteristics of acid soils in Thailand and research efforts to improve utilization of these soils in various parts of the country. In addition, research gaps have been identified and suggestions for future work are given.
