This household tissue paper is produced by plying two or more base papers and has, over the entire surface thereof, a first embossed pattern EM11 and a second embossed pattern EM12 that is arranged around the first embossed pattern EM11 and have bulge portions that differ in shape from those of the first embossed pattern EM11. This household tissue paper allows the contact area with an object to be cleaned to be increased, thereby allowing the wiping performance to be improved as well as improving the surface strength of the household tissue paper imparted by embossing.
