New Developments in Facial Nerve Repair and Regeneration

Facial paralysis affects 1/55 people during lifetime and worsen greatly their quality of life from a functional, esthetic and psychological point of view. The main functional problem is the lack of corneal lubrication because of blinking deficit, while esthetic drawbacks imply asymmetry of the face at rest and worsening of appearance during facial expressions.
