Study on the Effect of Seal Oil on Seismic Performance for Cylinder Gasholder

2010
Bearing the gas pressure, the seal oil, stored in the circular gallery between the piston and gasholder wall plate to prevent gas leakage, suspends with the piston in cylinder gasholder. With the gasholders tending to be large capacity and high pressure, the weight of seal oil increases evidently. The conventional model (CM) of the gasholder seismic calculation considers the seal oil as a negative factor. In this paper, taking the seal oil as a circular liquid damper (CLD), establishing the CLD seismic calculation model, the effect of seal oil height on seismic performance is analyzed. The results show that the seal oil has an evident positive damping effect on the seismic performance of gasholder, and the deeper oil has better damping effect within the adjustable height range.
