Gesture interaction method and gesture interaction system for interactive television

The invention belongs to the technical field of man-machine interaction, and particularly relates to a gesture interaction method and a gesture interaction system for an interactive television. A simple and efficient time domain feature extracting method is adopted, smooth and steady noise reduction, redundancy elimination and normalization processing are performed on acceleration signals, and gestures are classified and recognized by using an SVM (secure virtual machine). A gesture recognition result is applied to a set top box system based on an Android platform, and real-time interaction between a user and the television is realized. An experimental result shows that by using the gesture interaction method and the gesture interaction system, common gestures of the television are accurately recognized, the recognition rate reaches 96%, and the gesture action recognition time ranges from 48ms to 63ms.
