Tracheoesophageal pouch occurring in a case of esophageal atresia with distal tracheoesophageal fistula

Abstract We have noted an unusual variant of esophageal atresia. A neonate with esophageal atresia and distal tracheoesophageal fistula, who had an additional proximal fistula ending in a blind pouch, is described. In a review of the literature we have not found a similar case reported.
