A Phytochemical Study of Borneo: Selected Plants from Sabah Lowland Forests

ABSTRACT Selected plants (127 species from 112 genera) from the lowland forests of Sabah were screened for phytochemicals (alkaloids, saponins, terpenes and flavonoids) and bioassayed for selected bioactivities. Alkaloid yielding plants were mainly from families of Annonaceae, Apocynaceae and Rubiaceae.
