Method for treating tungsten-containing and molybdenum-containing slag produced in ammonium paratungstate production process

2011
The invention discloses a method for treating tungsten-containing and molybdenum-containing slag produced in the ammonium paratungstate (APT) production process, which mainly relates to a method for extracting and separating tungsten and molybdenum from the tungsten-containing and molybdenum-containing slag produced in the ammonium paratungstate production process and obtaining a qualified APT product and molybdenum-containing slag. The method comprises the following steps of: immersing the tungsten-containing and molybdenum-containing slag which is vulcanized in the ammonium paratungstate production process into ammonia water solution, introducing water vapor into a crystallizing boiler, maintaining the pressure of between 0.1 and 0.2mPa, filtering and cooling by using a deckle board after reaction is finished, and directly adding into a vulcanizing bath to remove molybdenum so as to obtain the qualified APT product and the molybdenum-containing slag. The process greatly lowers environmental pollution, improves the comprehensive utilization ratio of mineral resources and the molybdenum content of the molybdenum-containing slag, shortens the tungsten recycling process flow and creates conditions for a molybdenum purification process; and the valuable metal tungsten has a high recovery rate. Industrial application proves that the effective recovery rate of the tungsten is over 96 percent, and the molybdenum content of the molybdenum slag which is vulcanized again is increased by 2 times.
