The present invention relates to a traffic information collecting system using a load detecting device. The load detecting device includes multiple cell blocks, so that a traffic lane, which is an area to be detected, is divided by the cell blocks and the axial load is detected. Multiple WIM sensors are installed in each of the cell blocks, so accuracy of measurement and reliability when the load is applied are remarkably improved. After standard deviation of shear stress data measured by the WIM sensors is calculated, the load of a moving vehicle is calculated by using the calculated standard deviation. So, the load of the moving vehicle can be accurately detected by simple calculation. WIM sensor units comprising a pair of the WIM sensors are installed on both inner sides of a cell body at intervals in the longitudinal direction. Therefore, the number of the WIM sensors installed is maximized in comparison with a limited space, and each component is modularized to be coupled by a bolt. So, the traffic information collecting system using the load detecting device facilitates installation, inspection, and replacement of equipment.
